Error: Table '<tablename>' already exists (due to corrupted file).
Error:
Table '<tablename>' already exists.
Cause:
This error occurs when exporting a table as a Paradox or dBase file to replace an existing file and the existing file is corrupted. When a file is corrupted, Access tries to open the file to verify its contents and cannot overwrite it. This is by design of Microsoft Access.
Solution:
Delete the corrupted file, and export the table as a new Paradox or dBase file.
1) If the database to delete is still open, close the database..
2) Open Windows Explorer:
a) Click the 'Start' button to display the Windows 'Start' menu.
b) Select 'Programs' from the menu. (A submenu appears.)
c) Select 'Windows Explorer' from the submenu. (The Exploring window appears.)
3) Locate the database file to delete:
a) Select the drive where the database file is located.
b) Select the folder that contains the file. (The database file appears in the Exploring window.)
NOTE: If the file is in a subfolder, continue selecting folders until the database file is displayed.
4) Select the database file. (The file is highlighted.)
5) Select the 'File' menu and select 'Delete'. (The Confirm File Delete dialog box appears.)
6) Click 'Yes' to confirm the deletion. (The database is deleted.)
7) Export the Access table as a new Paradox or dBase file:
a) Open the desired database.
b) If the Database window is not active, activate the Database window.
c) In the Database window, click the 'Tables' tab.
d) Select the table to export from the list.
e) Select the 'File' menu and select 'Save As/Export...'. (The Save As... dialog box appears.)
f) Select the 'To an external File or Database' radio button.

g) Click 'OK'. (The Save <table> <table name> In dialog box appears, where <table name> is the name of the selected object.)
h) Select the desired Paradox or dBase file type from the 'Save as type' drop-down list.

i) Select the drive where the new file is to be stored from the 'Save in' drop-down list.
j) Select the specific folder to store the file.
NOTE: If the file is to be stored in a subfolder, continue selecting folders until the desired folder is displayed in the 'Save in' drop-down list box.
k) Do one of the following:
1] Type a name for the file in the 'File name' drop-down list box.
2] Accept the name suggested by Access.
l) Click 'Export'.
